Orkut never allow anyone to post a blank scrap. You have to write something in that scrap box to post a scrap. But we can post blank scraps in anyone’s scrapbook. Here is the trick.

1. Go to someone’s profile and open his scrap book.
2. Now in the scrap box (where you write the scrap), do not write anything.
3. Click the mouse cursor in that scrap box.
4. Hold Alt key (keep holding) and type 0173. Do not keep the numbers pressed. Simply hold Alt key and type the digits 0173.
5. Press submit and you will notice that you have just posted a blank scrap.
6. You can also do this by typing [i] in that scrap box. Simply type [i] and post that scrap. It will also create a blank scrap.

How to write a scrap in reverse order :

Are you creative and want to do something really funny? Then this trick is for you. If you do not want to write Hello, but olleH, you can find this trick here. This Orkut trick will reverse your sentence.

1. Type &#8238 in your friend’s scrap box.
2. Now type your scrap after the above code.
3. Press submit and you will see that the scrap you posted has hot reversed.
4. Example : “Hello, How are you?” will get reversed and look like “?uoy era woH, olleH“.

How to Appear Invisible on Orkut even When You are Online!

Orkut has got more chatting functionality after getting integrated with Gtalk. You can easily choose your status message for Gtalk on Orkut. Currently it supports four options and you can choose them to go offline, invisible, online or busy. Each status will display a tiny status icon next to your name. It will show green for online users, red for busy users and gray for both offline and invisible user. Having a gray sign next to your name on Orkut, will make your Gtalk status offline, even if you are invisible in reality.

How can I get back my hacked Orkut account!

Getting your hacked Orkut profile back is not a easy task though. If you are planning to appeal against this illegal hacking of your account, you need to provide them all your account related details. They need these details to confirm if you are the real owner of that account or not.

Report Google about this hacking and appeal to do the needful here. Generally they take 2-3 days of time to investigate and reply. If your Gmail ID was associated with Orkut account and you can’t access any of your Google services, they will try to communicate with you on your secondary email address.
