How to Send Images in Orkut Testimonials

Orkut testimonial is a great way to post your comments or notes about someone. But since Orkut has applied some strict policies to these testimonials, you can’t use HTML codes, images, BB codes etc. Such limitations restrict people from customizing their testimonials and as a result people end up sending plain text testimonials. But if there is a will, there is a way. Here I’ll tell you the way to send your own images as testimonials to your friends. Only limitation is that those images will be in ASCII mode, still they will look pretty well.

There is a saying, “A picture speaks thousand times louder than words”. You can also convert your friend’s image to ASCII mode and send their pictures to them as testimonials. They will surely get surprised to see these testimonials, if they are not familiar with ASCII codes. Here is the screenshot of one of my ASCII pictures.

Send Images as Testimonials on Orkut

  1. First get the image ready. Remember to use close up and small sized images for better result.
  2. Go to Photo2text and click on browse to select the image from your computer.
  3. Select various editing and customizing options to enrich your image.
  4. Download your image code file on to your computer.
  5. Now copy all the codes from that file and paste in the Orkut testimonial field.
  6. Send the testimonial to your friends.
  7. You are done.

Note that Orkut allows a user to use a maximum of 1024 characters. So, it won’t work for you if you are using a larger image as bigger sized images will use much characters. Choose a small picture, 100*100 pixels would be great and select 01 from the character set.

That’s it. Now enjoy sending your own or friend’s images as Orkut testimonial. You can also send coloured images, I mean there are certain generators to generate coloured ASCII charecters in stead of black & white one, but since they will use much more charecters, mentioning that will be useless here. But I will post about that later for scrap purposes.
